Montgomery County seeks diverse companies for contracts

County government contracts $133,000,000 with outside companies each year

Montgomery County is looking to get more women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned companies to bid on local government contracts. Each year, the County contracts with hundreds of companies to provide goods and services and hope to increase the participation with the companies owned and run by the county’s diverse population.

Montgomery County’s Purchasing Department is holding an informational event to teach business owners how to work with Montgomery County on these necessary services.

At the Purchasing Department’s Vendor Outreach session, local businesses will learn:

  • How to become a vendor with the County
  • Opportunities to bid, and how to search future bid opportunities
  • Upcoming projects and the need for private companies in those projects

The Vendor Outreach session will be held Thursday, Sept. 16 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Montgomery County Business Solutions Center, located at 1435 Cincinnati St. in Dayton. There is no cost and no need to register beforehand.
