Montgomery County Administrator Michael Colbert Selected for National Board of Directors

Montgomery County Administrator Michael Colbert was selected to serve as Midwest At-Large Director by the National Association of County Administrators. His term runs through July 2021.

NACA is an affiliate organization of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and was established for both elected and appointed officials. NACA voted on Colbert’s appointment after the previous Midwest At-Large Director was appointed to the Board of Directors of NACo.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Administrator Colbert, and it will allow him to represent our community at a national level,” said Montgomery County Commission President Judy Dodge. “Michael Colbert is a seasoned leader at the state and local level, making him an excellent fit for this role. I am happy to see his work and expertise recognized by the NACA Executive Committee.”

NACA encourages the professional growth of County Administrators, Chief Executive Officers and other professionals who lead the day-to-day operations of county government. The group provides networking, training and additional resources to help its members improve management and efficiency in all counties.

“I am honored by this opportunity to serve with my peers, so that we can work to address the challenges that county governments face across our great nation,” Colbert said. “As local government leaders, we must constantly evolve and grow so we can enhance our day-to-day operations and serve our citizens more effectively.”

Colbert was appointed as Montgomery County Administrator in 2018. Previously, he held the position of Assistant County Administrator and Director of Montgomery County Business Services.
