Economic Development grant program extends application period

UPDATE: Montgomery County has now cancelled the Spring 2020 ED/GE grant cycle. An updated news release is here.

Due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19, Montgomery County has extended the deadline for Spring 2020 Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) grant applications from Wednesday, April 1 until Monday, June 1.

The ED/GE grant program is designed to help create and retain local jobs by investing in business growth in Montgomery County. The competitive program distributes grant funds twice a year (in the spring and fall) to help finance permanent improvement projects, like new building construction, renovations, power upgrades, and more.

Local jurisdictions (townships, villages, and cities) apply for funding on behalf of companies. Businesses should work with their local jurisdiction to determine if their project is appropriate for ED/GE.

The Montgomery County Community and Economic Development Department will release dates and times for project presentations and funding meetings as those are planned.
