The Montgomery County Jail faced drainage and electrical problems Tuesday after an unknown object was flushed down the toilet. Visitation remains closed today (Oct. 29), but will reopen Wednesday, Oct. 30. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Inmates who were impacted were moved throughout the jail while the issue was resolved. Public Health has visited the site and its representatives said no further action is needed once the cleanup is complete.
Thank you to staff who helped address this maintenance issue, including representatives from our facilities department, the Sheriff’s Office, and Public Health.
