Around 7 a.m., the City of Dayton issued a boil advisory for all Dayton and Montgomery County water customers. Please continue to conserve water.
This will not impact jurisdictions with separate systems, such as Oakwood, Huber Heights, Englewood, Miamisburg, and Union. Small parts of Vandalia (south of I-70) and small parts of West Carrollton are on Montgomery County water and are affected.
We are coordinating with the Red Cross and The Foodbank, Inc. to set up water and food distribution at Red Cross shelters and other locations. Current Red Cross shelters are listed below:
- Corinthian Church, 700 N. James H. McGee, Trotwood
- Morton Middle School, 8555 Peters Pike, Vandalia
- The Ridge Church, 7555 Brookville-Phillipsburg Road
- Hoffman Methodist Church (Miami County), 2010 S. Main St.
Call 911 or your local fire or police for emergency assistance.
We have been getting inquiries from folks concerned about loved ones, and our hearts go out to you and your family. At this time, there have been no reported fatalities.
A preliminary map of the affected area is available here with the National Weather Service.
