Transient Records
Transient records are records with short-lived administrative, legal or fiscal value. However, because they document the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations and activities of an office, they are by definition records and should be retained and disposed of in accordance with county policies.
Transient records include, but are not limited to:
- Preliminary drafts (once superseded)
- Memoranda (paper based or e-mail) pertaining to scheduling a county event
- Documents that have been superseded and updated
- User copies
- Routing slips
- Voicemail
