The Treasurer’s Office works in coordination with the Montgomery County Sheriff and the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court to conduct the following types of foreclosure sales.

Mortgage Foreclosure Sales – This sale is initiated by the mortgage company or bank when the property owner defaults on their loan.

Treasurer’s Tax Sales – This sale is initiated by the Montgomery County Treasurer due to the property owner’s failure to pay property taxes.

Tax Lien Foreclosure Sales – This sale is initiated by a third-party Tax Lien Holder for the property owner’s failure to pay the tax lien.

All foreclosure sales are held by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on the 10th floor of the County Administration Building, 451 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45402, and begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Please check the Sheriff Department’s list of properties for the exact sale date. Their list is updated weekly.
