February-April: Final field review of property, sales ratio analysis

April-June: Final tentative property value setting

June: Submission of tentative abstract to State of Ohio

July: Send tentative value notices to property-owners

August-October: Informal hearings

November: Submit final abstract to the State of Ohio

December: Final property value notices

January: Tax bills sent out based on new values

January-March: Board of Revision filing period for new property values

Updated Digital Photos:

Montgomery County has contracted with locally based Lexur Appraisal Service, Inc. to handle the 2020 Revaluation. They began by taking digital photographs of the exterior of properties throughout the county. These photos were the first step in our process of collecting data about your property.

Updated digital photos will improve the overall quality of the county's real estate data. Save taxpayers money by making the property tax administration process more efficient. Assist homeowners and businesses with "before" photos in case of loss. Enhance emergency management recovery reports necessary for state and federal assistance. Validate property addresses to identify homes for fire, police and medical emergency response.

All personnel assigned to this project have been issued photo identification badges that must be visible at all times. Local law enforcement will be notified of van descriptions and their locations. All photographs are taken from public right-of-way whenever possible. Project members are deputized to access driveways or private lanes only when necessary to obtain an unobstructed image.
