Fixing Pop-up Blockers

We recommend using the pop-up blocker that comes standard with Windows Internet Explorer and turning the other ones off. Please note that when you make changes, you may need to shut down your Internet Explorer and then re-run it for changes to take effect. It's also a good idea to clear your Temporary Internet Files on a regular basis.

If you are unsure whether a pop-up blocker is causing your viewing problems, try holding the CTRL key down as you click on the Image link. If you are then able to view the image, you still have a pop-up blocker that has not been deactivated.

If you must use a toolbar or program that includes a pop-up blocker and do not wish to turn it off, just add "http://onbase.mcohio.org" and "https://www.mcohio.org" as trusted sites. Please see the documentation for your program or toolbar for instructions on doing this.

If you installed software for your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, AT&T, BellSouth, Earthlink, etc.), it may include a pop-up blocker. Visit their website for instructions on turning off the blocker.

If you have a program that is specifically designed to block pop-ups, or if your Internet Security program or Virus Scan program includes a pop-up blocker, you will need to refer to your documentation for how to change the settings.

There are many other toolbars out there. If you have one that is not shown above, visit their website for instructions on turning off the pop-up blockers.

When all else fails, try uninstalling all toolbars completely using Add & Remove Programs from Control Panel.
