Each Judge is assigned a Bailiff. Their duties include, but are not limited to maintaining Judge's calendar, coordinate cases with Judge, attorneys and Assignment Office calendars. Set pre-trials and trial dates. Prepare official files and questionnaires for weekly docket. Handle caseflow and enter into computer, results of cases heard for report to Supreme Court. Answer telephone inquiries from attorneys, agencies and general public. Monitor documents for Judge's signature. Check cases for decrees, and prepare notices on cases where decrees have not been filed. Prepare paper work for domestic violence hearings and obtain signatures. Monitor status of objections and motions for timely ruling by Judge. Prepare documents for the Family Relations Department. Maintain security in the courtroom, lobby, and halls in coordination with Sheriff Deputies. Swear in litigants and witnesses.
