ABSENTEE BALLOTS ARE THE FIRST ONES COUNTED ON ELECTION NIGHT
1. Where do I obtain an absentee ballot?
The Secretary of State DID NOT MAIL to every registered voter an application for you to request to receive an Absentee Ballot. This only done in even year General Elections. In Ohio you may obtain an absentee ballot for any reason.

We must have your original signature, it cannot be e-mailed to us. You can call us at 225-5656 and we will mail you a form or you can come to the Board of Elections at 451 W. 3rd St., Dayton.
2. Where is my Absentee Ballot?
Under Election Law we cannot mail your ballot until the 1st day of early voting...April 9th
3. Tracking my Ballot
After you have mailed your ballot: On our Homepage there is a Quick Link to "Track My Ballot" Here you can view if your ballot has been received by our office.
4. When do you have to receive my Ballot?
Your ballot must be postmarked (not a private postage meter) the day before the election and received no later than 10 days after the election. You or a family member may return it to the Board of Elections on Election Day until the close of polls at 7:30 PM.
