SMART ProjectAt a Glance: MCES will build a new influent pump station at its Dryden Road location. Those pumps will transport millions of gallons a day to the Western Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility in West Carrollton. Also to be constructed is a pretreatment facility at Western Regional, which will provide screening and grit removal to remove debris and grit. The screens will remove particles 4 mm and larger. Concrete Rehab Eastern Regional – Phases 1-3At a Glance: Montgomery County Environmental Services is repairing concrete structures at the Eastern Regional Water Reclamation Facility in multiple phases. A previous assessment identified deterioration, cracking, and spalling of the concrete structures throughout the facility. Phases 1 & 2 dealt with safety concerns found in the assessment. Phase 3 (the final phase) will repair the concrete in 24 tank structures at the facility. |
