All Montgomery County residents are permitted to bring in 10 scrap tires per year for recycling at no charge. There are no size restrictions and tires may either be on or off rim. Any scrap tires in excess of 10 may still be brought in for recycling, and the resident will be charged the current disposal rate. Proof of residency is required for free disposal.
In addition, please note that the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) requires a “Tire Manifest” for anyone transporting more than 10 tires per load. Transporting more than 10 tires without appropriate documentation is a felony. You may call the Health Department at (937) 225-4427 for more information regarding a manifest.
