Large household appliances are accepted at no charge twice a year from Montgomery County residents at the Montgomery County Solid Waste Transfer Station. 

On all other days, appliances can be disposed of for the normal disposal fee. Freon removal for up to 5 appliances per year is free to Montgomery Country residents.

JUNE 2022 APPLIANCE AMNESTY WEEKEND: With proof of residency, appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters and stoves will be accepted for free at the Montgomery County Solid Waste District Transfer & Recycling Facility, located at 1001 Encrete Lane in Moraine. Hours for the June event are:

June 2 & 3: 6 AM to 7 PM
June 4: 8 AM to 3PM


OCTOBER 2022 APPLIANCE AMNESTY WEEKEND: 
October 6 & 7: 6 AM to 7 PM
October 8: 8 AM to 3PM
