Homeless Solutionary Awards 

About the “Homeless Solutionary” Awards

A “Homeless Solutionary” is as a person who is motivated by compassion and social justice to use creativity, critical thinking and collaboration to end homelessness, its root causes and interconnected problems. The work of a “Homeless Solutionary” is informed by the realities of the inequities within the housing and homeless services systems and the urgency to transform situations by listening and responding to the needs of others. 

Award Criteria

The characteristics we will like to acknowledge with this award center around one or more of the following: 

  • A leader who is engaging the community to end homelessness with proven results
  • An individual who has changed systems within the community, streamlines processes, uses resources in a new way
  • Someone who has forged new partnerships to effectively and positively impact  Montgomery County

  • Angel Bernard, Rehousing Manager, St. Vincent de Paul Dayton
  • Toni Morgan, Director of Operations, YWCA Dayton
  • Tina Patterson, CEO, Homefull
  • Abriella Ruby, Founder, Love Conquers Dayton
  • Dr. Roger Reeb, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Psychology Professor at University of Dayton
  • Heather Wilson, Program Services Director at Miami Valley Housing Opportunities

“The Homeless Solutions Policy Board is pleased to celebrate its inaugural class of Homeless Solutionary Honorees. We are fortunate to have exceptional leaders who listen to the needs of others and enact change through the removal of barriers and strengthening of our systems,” said HSPB Co-Chair Rev. John Paddock.

The 2021-2022 Homeless Solutionary Honorees will celebrated at the Spring 2022 Continuum of Care Meeting Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
