Every person deserves food on their plate and a roof over their head.
Pandemic make homelessness awareness especially urgent
by Rev. John Paddock, Homeless Solutions Policy Board Co-Chair
While National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is an opportunity to increase understanding of the problems of hunger and homelessness and organize our communities to take action; it is also a time to say THANK YOU and shine a spotlight on the tremendous work done by our housing and homeless system providers, who get the job done! While providers work year after to help households achieve housing stability, this year our providers have done an exceptional job of rising to the occasion to keep our community’s most vulnerable - those without housing - safe during this global pandemic and to continue to connect people to housing and provide the necessary services to keep people stably housed.
This short video is an expression of our gratitude as we thank them for their commitment and dedication to the work of ending homelessness in our community!
