Lilac & Plum Plate By Regina Latscha Emery, Glass Artist
Fused Glass Art 9" x11" plate, Not food safe. Transparent Lilac and Opaque 90 glass, sheet, stringers, frit glass
While my current medium is glass, my degree was in painting with a strong focus on drawing and color theory. Drawing is my passion and how I process the world in thought and actual drawings, often drawing on glass with glass. Many of the glass pieces feel like paintings in the way I pour small pieces of glass and move the glass on a sheet of glass. I will always be exploring color and its reactions to other hues. Color will often be the fundamental way in which I approach my work. Yet it will be stories that drive and inspire me. Most of my stories lay quietly in the background waiting for someone else to add their story to the art. Art shares a piece of the artist. The artist shares her response to the world. As an artist I find peace and solutions in nature. But it is my connections and interactions with people and their stories that give my life meaning and purpose.

Awaiting Rebirth - 2018 Dayton Arcade By Cassia Patten, Volunteer Services - CASA Program
In March of 2018, Cassia's Mother, photographer Annemarie Halfpap, was able to access the then still shuttered historic Dayton Arcade Complex, where she took a photograph used as reference for this block print. The grandiose lofting ceilings, thick green glass and iron details and soaring arches of the hall echoed the building's lost greatness. The floor littered with dirt, crumbling plaster and paint chips, and an umbrella, upturned and twisted, rests on the floor. The future was to be a renewal, and just as Dayton itself has struggled with loss of industry and vitality, a new light and hope shines as the community invests and celebrates both its great history and its optimistic future. The art piece is a n 8x10 inch reductive block print on paper.
Cassia graduated from Wright State University in 2013 with a BA in Art and a minor in Criminal Justice. She has worked in both the non-profit sector as an administrator for many years and with the county Juvenile Court since 2020, where she is a Coordinator of Volunteers for the CASA Program. She enjoys a variety of creative outlets, mostly knitting and fiber dying and spinning, but also does stained glass and block print. Due to poor health this print is the first Cassia has completed in 4 years, specifically for this event and enjoyed breaking out he materials and refamiliarizing herself with a medium she enjoys so much.

Bridge Over Peaceful Water by Monica Rezek, Job and Family Services
Sunshine through the trees and a stone bridge over peaceful waters.
I started painting when a local diner had an artist offering painting opportunities. This artist classes were different than most offered, she had several ideas of painting topics and allowed each individual base their painting on one of her ideas or do one of their own. She then coached us on different techniques and talked us through our fears of not being artistic. In addition to painting I enjoy photography, hot glass work and loom knitting.

Passion By Devin Larkins Workforce Development
Passion is a simple, multi layered piece of digital art created in procreate. The line work gives it it's simplistic nature, while the swirls and vibrant colors adds another dimension to it. I gave it the name passion because that's the way it made me feel when I was finished.
Hi my name is Devin Larkins. I was born in Chicago but raised in Minnesota. I have always enjoyed drawing and doing artistic things since I was a kid. I didn't start selling my art until 2020 during the pandemic. I started creating stickers of cartoon characters just for fun, but quickly realized my true passion was in digital abstract art. I moved to Ohio 8 months ago with the intent to continue my creative endeavors, but unfortunately was hit by a car 2 weeks into moving to Dayton. I was left unable to work or walk for 4 months. During my time recovering, I created over 350+ digital art pieces. My passion for art grew even stronger, as self expression played a pivotal role in my recovery. I utilize the usage of basic shapes, jagged lines, vibrant colors, chromatic aberration and glitch effects to create simple yet powerful and meaningful pieces of art. It was hope that my work brings people inspiration, sparks hope, and ignites their passion.

Fish Sketch By Hadley Rodebeck
Graphite on Paper
Hadley Rodebeck enjoys creating with bright colors. Rodebeck uses acrylic, oil, and oil pastel in her work. Her paintings often depict animals, fish or birds in space. These works are often painted on a large scale to further emphasize the subjects’ personalities. The character of these creatures is emphasized by the size and scale of the work.
In these works, every so often, Rodebeck inverts colors in areas of the paintings to create a sense of tension. For example, a fish may be in both blue water and magenta water simultaneously. The materials that she paints with create different effects. Acrylic paint creates transparency and movement. Oil paint creates depth and luminosity. The final mark on the canvas is the oil pastel mark. The oil pastel mark, once made, cannot be taken back. That becomes the final punctuation of the paintings.
Rodebeck accepts commissions and takes pride in portraying people, animals, and pets accurately. Her work is in private collections across the United States.
