If you've hidden your pregnancy and have no plans for your baby, don't panic.

Do what's right for your child. Call HelpLink at 225-3000 and learn what resources are available to you. Ask about the Safe Haven Program for newborns.

You can take your baby (up to three days old and unharmed) to any hospital emergency room and tell a staff member you want to leave him/her there. Your baby will be safe and cared for and you will not be required to give your name. You may be asked to provide medical and family history information. Confidentiality is assured.

You have thirty days to think through your decision. If you change your mind, a DNA test will be necessary for positive identification.
