Dayton Regional Green

In 2007, the Montgomery County Commissioners convened a forum of local citizens, government, and business leaders to identify strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Montgomery County and the Dayton region. Many ideas were generated from the forum and as a result, the Dayton Regional Green 3 (DRG3) Task Force was created.

In 2011, Montgomery County funded the initiative and launched the green business certification program. Since then, hundreds of businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations in the Miami Valley obtained their green certification in their commitment to a greener future. Dayton Regional Green is led by the Sustainability Manager, Lamees Mubasiat. Learn more at the Dayton Regional Green website
