The General Schedule of County Records (PDF) covers records held in common by all county offices. The schedule includes Accounting/Financial Records, Administrative Records, Human Resources and Transient Records. Once an office has separated its non-records from its county records, it can use the General Schedule to further eliminate and manage the short-term records that each office must create to conduct county business, such as pay-ins, purchase orders and vouchers. The Records Commission allows offices to destroy Transient Records without creating a Certificate of Records Disposal.
