Adult Protection Unit
The Adult Protection Unit’s primary responsibility is the prosecution of crimes involving our community’s more vulnerable citizens.

Appellate Division
The Appellate Division is responsible for preparing and arguing all appeals of criminal and civil cases in which Montgomery County is a party.

Case Management Section
The Criminal Case Management Section processes the paperwork and records relating to the handling of felony cases from the time a charge has been accepted for felony prosecution through conviction.

Child Abuse Bureau
The attorneys in this division prosecute felony child abuse cases, including physical and sexual abuse cases when the victim is less than 13 years old.

Child Protection Unit
The Child Protection Unit represents the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services Children Services Division on cases of child abuse, neglect and dependency.

Civil Division
The Civil Division acts as the County’s law firm.

Consumer Fraud Unit
The Fraud and Economic Crimes Unit investigates and prosecutes felony cases related to consumer fraud and white collar crime when jurisdiction can be established in Montgomery County.

Criminal Division
Through the Criminal Division, the Prosecutor's Office annually reviews over 6,000 cases submitted for filing as felonies by the various law enforcement agencies.

Diversion Division
The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Diversion Division offers a deferred prosecution program for first-time, non-violent felony offenders.

Intake / Grand Jury Section
The Intake Section of the Criminal Division is comprised of Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys whose primary responsibility is conducting Preliminary Hearings in the municipal courts as well as presenting cases for indictment before the Montgomery County Grand Jury.

Juvenile Division
The Juvenile Delinquency Division consists of a division chief, docket attorneys, and support staff. The attorneys in this division prosecute offenders under the age of 18 who commit crimes.

Victim / Witness Division
The Victim / Witness Division is a section of the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. Established in 1974, this Division is designed to help those individuals who have been a victim or witness of a violent crime.
