Non-Emergency Transportation Helps Medicaid Patients Get to Appointments
Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) is a statewide program for Medicaid-eligible clients to provide transportation to and from Medicaid-approved medical appointments. Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services administers the program for local residents.
To qualify you must:
- Be a Montgomery County resident who is currently on Medicaid
- Return a completed application to The Job Center
This service does not provide for rides to The Job Center, the bank, the grocery store, Court, or the Social Security office. Each family member must get a separate authorization for transportation, and a guardian must ride with minor children. Clients must also complete a Re-Certification Application every twelve months.
Once you have authorization to use NET, you can arrange a ride to any approved Medicaid facility in Ohio by calling us at least three days in advance (note that weekends and holidays do not count). Pharmacy stops can be made upon request.
