About Us

The Montgomery County Solid Waste District (SWD) provides waste disposal and recycling services to Montgomery County municipalities, businesses, and residents.

Also housed at the SWD, is the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and our Keep Montgomery County Beautiful program. These entities offer educational programs to County schools, communities, and businesses, as well as litter cleanup resources.

Unacceptable Materials

To ensure the safety of our staff and customers, please be sure to read the List of Unacceptable Materials at the Solid Waste Transfer Facility (PDF). Contact us at 937-225-4999 for questions or more information.

Please note: The Montgomery County Solid Waste District does not remove residential or curbside waste. For information on waste haulers in your area, view the 2020 Waste Haulers List (PDF) | Waste Haulers List (XLSX).
