The Reentry Career Alliance Academy (RCAA) offers a career and job readiness curriculum for returning citizens, culminating in a formal graduation ceremony. The RCAA provides participants with case management services and offers the opportunity to connect with local community resources, service providers, and employers.
The four-week program consists of 29 workshops, Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 am to 2:30 pm, concluding with a focus group and graduation ceremony. These holistic workshops are coordinated and facilitated by the Montgomery County Office of Reentry staff and consultants, in partnership with community partners to address the needs of individuals with criminal history barriers and life challenges.
Workshop topics include Reentry Planning, Offender Workforce Development and Retention, Personal/Family and Social Responsibility, Behavioral Health, Housing, Healthcare, Behavioral Management, Financial Literacy, Networking, Legal Issues, Education, and other supportive services.
