Point-in-Time (PIT) Count

Each year, on the fourth Tuesday in January, communities throughout Ohio conduct a one-night count of persons experiencing homelessness. In Montgomery County, the PIT Count includes persons residing in emergency shelters - Daybreak, Gettysburg Gateway for Men, Holt Street, St. Vincent Gateway for Women and Families, and YWCA Domestic Violence shelter - or sleeping unsheltered in places not intended for housing such as wooded areas, cars, or abandoned buildings.
