Weather Awareness

Staying on top of the weather can be challenging without the right tools. There are a number of ways to find out about incoming severe weather, such as:

• Local TV news or radio stations
• Weather apps for your phone
• NOAA radio (These radios continuously broadcast weather information from nearby National Weather Service stations and are commercially available in most major stores and online.)
• National Weather Service's local 7-day forecast
• NOAA Storm Prediction Center

If your community uses warning sirens, head straight for the closest safe location and access your local media to find out more about the situation.
