The Montgomery County Commissioners often recognize exceptional individuals, groups and community events within the County. Proclamations and Greeting Certificates are ceremonial documents issued by the Commissioners to honor and celebrate events, recognize achievements, or increase public awareness of noteworthy causes.
County residents may request a Proclamation or Greeting Certificate online through the link below. Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the date the document is to be picked up or mailed from the Commission office. Requests outside of this timeframe are not guaranteed to be delivered by the requested date.
Due to the large number of requests the office receives, and to ensure the document correctly reflects the request, please provide draft language you would like included in the document and be as specific as possible. A sample document can be found here for your review.
After preparation, a staff member will contact you to pick the document up from the Commission Office, if that is your preferred method of delivery, or to inform you the document has been mailed and when you can expect it.
Please note that Montgomery County Staff reserves the right to edit proclamation/greeting certificate content and/or reject proclamation/greeting certificate requests at their discretion.
