Montgomery County Environmental Services provides high quality water and sewer service to more than 250,000 citizens in Montgomery County.

The department has provided water reclamation (sewer) and drinking water to the areas of Montgomery County that surround the City of Dayton since 1917. Today, we employ 240 people, who operate and maintain approximately 1,200 miles of sanitary sewer and 1,400 miles of water main lines.

Our environmental lab tests more than 12,000 water samples each year to ensure quality and safety. Montgomery County drinking water consistently meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water safety and quality standards.
