Income
Income for VA purposes is all income of the veteran and the veteran's dependents, including:
- Wages
- Social Security Retirement or Disability Benefits
- Private Pensions
- Investment Income
- Inheritances
- Lottery Winnings
Income for VA purposes excludes the following sources:
- SSI and Public Welfare
- Earned income of children less than the minimum amount for which a single person pays Federal income tax
- Income of dependent children not available to the veteran
- Income of dependent children to the extent that it is a financial hardship on the veteran
