Veterans Treatment Court
In 2013, the General Division of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court initiated a special court to assist those veterans who are involved in criminal behavior and who also struggle with disorders due to their combat experience.
Most veterans are familiar with the term “battle buddy,” a fellow service member who helps another, in and out of combat. Montgomery County Veterans Treatment Court is looking for “battle buddies” in the form of mentors for former service men and women who have become involved with the criminal justice system.
Any current or honorably discharged service member can become a mentor for Veterans Treatment Court. Contact the Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission at 937-225-4801 ext. 224.
