This division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and grounds care for the majority of the buildings owned and operated by the Board of County Commissioners.  This includes over 20 facilities totaling approximately 1,300,000 square feet of occupied space.  Daily responsibilities include: custodial services, facility maintenance and repairs, tenant space renovations, project management and complete grounds care. 

This division is also responsible for the maintenance and operation of the four regional County Parks along with active recreational programming.  The four parks are: Art Van Atta, Arthur O. Fisher, Madison Lakes and Tom Cloud.  These parks comprise approximately 700 total acres and include 23 acres of ponds, 17 picnic shelters, 28 tennis courts, 9 basketball courts, 19 ball diamonds, 4 permanent soccer fields, 9 sets of playground equipment, 3 concession stands, a disk golf course, a sand volleyball court, over 4 miles of paved paths and set ups for major outdoor festivals and concerts.
