The Montgomery County Payment Summary Unit is responsible for updating account balances from Montgomery County court orders, information provided from other states or from other appropriate sources. Account Details are provided to the court to assist in their actions when requested either by the court or prosecutors office. Account Details may also be requested by attorneys as needed. The Payment Summary Unit also forwards appropriate information to court for their actions. These are some of the many functions the Montgomery County Payment Summary Unit provides. Updating Account Balances - Cases are updated upon receipt of a new or updated Administrative or Court Order. Some orders will include changes that will require account balances be adjusted or changed. When an account balance is changed per an order an Account Detail is completed to update the case. When receiving information from other states to update account balances, additional action may be taken to verify the other states information prior to updating the case information. Audit Request For Court or Hearing Preparation - Account Details are provided to the Court, Prosecutors Office, Administrative Hearing Officers and requesting Attorneys as needed for court preparation and hearings. Court Actions - Information can be forwarded to the Court or Administrative Hearing Officers to take possible actions on cases. When waiving arrearages on a case the parties cannot waive any arrearages that are owed to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services due to public assistance involvement. A completed affidavit signed and notarized by both parties, along with a financial explanation of the reason the arrears are being waived, is required for this action. The parties are required to contact the CSEA if the required event has or is about to occur to terminate Spousal Support.
