CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENT CENTRAL (CSPC)

The state of Ohio has fully implemented a centralized collection and disbursement process, Ohio CSPC. This centralized system was mandated by the federal government with the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996. Support payments, in the form of checks or money orders are submitted, processed and disbursed from Columbus. If an Employer prefers to pay electronically, they must first contact CSPC directly in order to set up the electronic transfer process.

Montgomery County has continued to offer the option of making cash or debit card payments which will be posted at our office. We also accept personal checks and money orders which will be forwarded to the state and posted the following business day. Credit card payments are not accepted.

Montgomery County SEA is committed to the highest level of customer service and will work closely with you and Ohio-CSPC to obtain full resolution of any payment issue that may arise.

Check or money order payments are to be mailed to:

Employers send to:
Ohio-CSPC
PO Box 182394
Columbus, OH 43218-2394

Non-Custodial Parents send to:
Ohio-CSPC
PO Box 182372
Columbus, OH 43218-2394

All payments must include your 10 digit SETS case number and your court order number ending in OH570. Including the OH570 ensures that the payment will be identified as belonging to a Montgomery County case.

Any payments received by mail locally are bundled and sent to Ohio-CSPC each afternoon. This does delay the posting of these payments by that mailing time. Montgomery County can not, under any circumstances, post a check or money order locally.

All recipients of support do have the option of receiving payments via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). An enrollment form must be completed and mailed to CSPC in Columbus. The form will be processed and a test will be done to ensure the link to your bank is in working order prior to sending a payment. If the test fails for any reason you will receive a letter and any payments received will continue to be mailed in check form. The enrollment process is currently taking 6 to 8 weeks to complete.

If you are currently enrolled in EFT and need to change the account you will need to contact us to end-date the current account information and then a new enrollment form must be completed and sent to CSPC in Columbus for processing. Any payments that come in while the new request is being processed will be mailed out in the form of a check.
