Medicaid for those residing in a Nursing Home or Intermediate Care Facility for Mental Retardation. |
| What are the guidelines, income or otherwise, to participate? |
Resource limit is $1500 for an individual. The Protected Resource Minimum is $19,020 and Maximum is $95,100 (2005 standards) for couples. Your JFS Specialist will be able to provide you with more information regarding how these apply to you at your interview. |

Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. |
| Is a face to face interview required? How do I get one? |
Yes. Call 225-4148 to request an application. After the application is completed and returned, an appointment date will be mailed to you. Please allow 1-4 hours for the interview. |
| How long will it take to get an appointment? |
Generally, appointments are scheduled within three weeks of receipt of application. |
| What do I need to bring to my appointment? |
Proof of all income, assets, tax returns, health insurance cards, proof of age, and social security cards. You may be asked to supply additional information. |
| How long does it take for an application to be processed? |
Approximately 45 days from the time of the interview. |
