    After much research and careful consideration, the Montgomery County Department of Job & Family Services (MCDJFS) has installed a new, more efficient digital telephone system.  This change is to provide citizens with the information that they need quicker and more conveniently.

    When a customer calls our customer service number 225-4148, their call will be received by a service representative who can answer basic questions that they have regarding their case status.  The service representatives will also provide necessary forms, record a customer's change of address, as well as other functions.   496-6720 remains the Job Center's main phone number.  It offers a menu of services to callers.
