| What does the Hospital Unit do? |
Process hospital admissions and determine eligibility for QMB applications, basic determination of Public Assistance eligibility, assist with Spenddown and buy-in information. |
| What are the guidelines, income or otherwise, to participate? |
Guidelines for regular Public Assistance is the same as other programs. Levy eligibility is based on the poverty level. |

8:00 5:00 M-F |

| How do I get an appointment? |
Information can be obtained through the hospitals. When we receive a hospital notice, we contact the customer for an appointment. Unit number is 225-7932 |
| What do I need to bring to my appointment? |
ID's, Birth certificate, social security #, verification of assets and residence. Any verifications not brought to the interview will be requested by the interviewer and a return date will be given. |
| How long will I wait to be served? |
Normal wait time for an interview is 15-20 minutes. Calls are answered promptly. |
| How long does it take for an application to be processed? |
Approximately 30-45 days |
