    What does the Hospital Unit do?

    Process hospital admissions and determine eligibility for QMB applications, basic determination of Public Assistance eligibility, assist with Spenddown and buy-in information.

    What are the guidelines, income or otherwise, to participate?

    Guidelines for regular Public Assistance is the same as other programs. Levy eligibility is based on the poverty level.

    What are the hours of operation?

    8:00  5:00 M-F

    Is a face to face interview required?

    Yes

    How do I get an appointment?

    Information can be obtained through the hospitals. When we receive a hospital notice, we contact the customer for an appointment. Unit number is 225-7932

    What do I need to bring to my appointment?

    ID's, Birth certificate, social security #, verification of assets and residence. Any verifications not brought to the interview will be requested by the interviewer and a return date will be given.

    How long will I wait to be served?

    Normal wait time for an interview is 15-20 minutes. Calls are answered promptly.

    How long does it take for an application to be processed?

    Approximately 30-45 days
