The Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services is soliciting proposals from organizations interested in providing Child Care Quality Services.  Any proposed service must demonstrate one or more of the following:

• Assist providers in meeting Sate and local standards.
• Increase child care center staff and Type B provider's knowledge of the characteristics of high quality early care.
•  Provide educational services and access to educational resources.
• Provide training for Type B Providers that is not limited to but includes the following:
   Health and Safety training
   CPR training
   First Aid training
   Communicable Disease
   Child Abuse and Neglect
   Child Development
• Professional development, including training, education, and technical assistance.
• Health activities including those designed to promote the social and emotional development of children.
• Improve salaries and other compensation of child care providers
• Support activities regarding early language, literacy development.
• Other quality activities that improve the quality and availability of child care.

Selected vendors may be awarded a one (1) year agreement beginning January 1, 2010 and ending December 31, 2010. The contract may contain a one year renewal option which is at the sole discretion of MCDJFS.

All interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the Bidder's Conference which is designed to receive questions and provide information regarding the Scope of Work and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.  The Bidder's Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services – Job Center, 1111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., Dayton, OH 45408 in Conference Room C2/3.
