Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)


Montgomery County is participating in a week-long observance to promote awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), which can have negative life-long effects on children and their families.  Nationally known experts in the FASD field will come and share their expertise with the medical, teaching, and social service communities, as well as with parents and families.  Presentations will provide information about FASD - causes, effects on the developing brain, behavioral characteristics, and prevention strategies.
                                 FASD are 100% preventable!
