It's a sad statement about our culture that an average of 3 children in America dies each day because of maltreatment. Even more shocking is that approximately 80% of this abuse and neglect is at the hands of parents.

What can we do? We can each have an impact (one parent at a time) by making a commitment to the well being of our child/children.

The Parent's Pledge was designed to be a way for you to communicate with your child/children about this issue and about your intentions. Keep it posted on your refrigerator or bulletin board as a reminder that we WILL make a difference in preventing child abuse and neglect one child at a time.
