    Career Opportunities

There are a variety of career opportunities with the Montgomery County Children Services Division. We hope that you will find this information valuable as you explore career opportunities in our agency.

Our recruitment efforts fall into two basic categories: Casework and Non-Casework.

    • Caseworkers provide many services to clients in their homes including but not limited to initial assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the family unit, assessment of level of risk to children in the home and referral of families to appropriate community resources.
    • Some examples of Non-Casework positions are Technical Typists (performs data entry, typing, filing, etc) and Drivers (provide transportation for clients) and nurses.

NOTE: For caseworkers with a Bachelor degree, we utilize a pool process. Approximately every 2 months we interview a group of candidates (20+). Those applicants that are deemed to be a good match (and whose references are positive) will go into a "pool". As we experience vacancies, pool candidates are placed based on their level of education and experience and the quality of their interview and references.

If you'd like to have more information on how to view and apply for vacancies with this agency, you may call (937) 496-6716 or visit the Montgomery County website at www.mcohio.org.
