At their annual re-organization meeting, the Montgomery County Commissioners, Judy Dodge, Dan Foley and Debbie Lieberman, elected Judy Dodge to serve as President of the Commission for 2008. "I am pleased to take on the role of president. I am committed to doing my best to lead us forward and help the commission stay focused on our priorities", said Commissioner Dodge. "Our purpose will remain steadfast as we make progress in the areas of economic development, regional collaboration, human services and the quality of life. I believe the commission is strong and will continue to bring energy and excitement to the issues facing the county and our citizens", continued Dodge.
Commissioner Dan Foley said, "We have spent the past year forming a new team, developing a strategic plan to govern our actions, and undertaking several key initiatives. Judy has been central to all of our team efforts and is ready to lead us in the coming year". Commissioner Lieberman commented, "I am pleased that Judy is going to serve as President this year. We are all very committed to moving the region forward, and she will be a great asset as we continue this journey".
