Montgomery County Solid Waste District invites families to join a celebration of "America Recycles Day" at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, 2600 DeWeese Parkway in Dayton, on Saturday, November 14, 2009.
The first 300 children and adults who bring 10 aluminum cans per person for recycling will get free admission to the Boonshoft Museum. All other children and adults who bring 10 aluminum cans for recycling will receive $3 off their admission. Hours for the event are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Young recyclers are invited to enjoy a fun day at the museum and learn more about recycling opportunities in their communities. They can explore the recycling center, pledge to recycle more, enter to win cool prizes, and meet Heater from the Dayton Dragons and Curby the Cardinal.
"America Recycles Day" is an annual, national awareness event to promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of buying recycled goods and recycling. The goal is to increase the purchase of recycled content products and recycling throughout America.
