"Reach Out" - Local Event to Assist Unemployed Workers With Resources

The Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services (MCDJFS) will host "Reach Out," a free community resource fair on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. inside the concourse at Fifth Third Field in downtown Dayton.

"Reach Out is designed to connect dislocated and unemployed workers to the vast variety of services available in our community that they need in order to stabilize and improve their situations during these strenuous economic times," said Heath MacAlpine, MCDJFS Assistant Director, Workforce Development Division. 

More than 40 organizations will be on hand at "Reach Out" to provide answers to questions about home foreclosure, child support modification, food assistance, area training and educational program options, along with resume writing and job search strategies. 

Free parking for the event, which will be held rain or shine, is available at the former Patterson Career Academy, 441 River Corridor Drive.  For more information, go to www.thejobcenter.org.
