Austin Pike Road Closure Scheduled

Austin Pike will be closed to traffic at the SR 741 intersection. Underground utility work, in addition to road widening and pavement construction for the Austin Pike Interchange will be performed during this time. 

The official detour route is SR 741 to Spring Valley Road, to Yankee Street to Austin Pike.
This closure is scheduled through October 21, 2009.

Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone area.
All work is weather permitting.
