Montgomery County Sheriff Announces Food Drive

Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer and his staff are teaming up with the Chaminade-Julienne Lady Eagles Soccer Team to collect food donations during the Montgomery County Fair. 

Citizens can drop off non-perishable food items or cash donations at the Main Gate at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 1043 South Main Street in Dayton, from September 2nd through September 7th, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

The donations will be distributed to the Foodbank in Dayton. 

"Recent statistics show that about 30,000 kids are living in poverty in Montgomery County and that is just unacceptable," said Sheriff Phil Plummer.  "Times are incredibly tough for many families in our community and I am committed to making sure no child goes to bed hungry."
