Summary:
Montgomery County Animal Resource Center Director Mark Kumpf reported that License Amnesty sales over the weekend showed 104 dog owners took advantage of the penalty free license tag sales event.
"This is a terrific start to our event," said Kumpf. "The County Commissioners and County Auditor Karl Keith have extended this opportunity and our dog loving citizens have been showing their support by purchasing tags."
License sales figures are from the Animal Resource Center and County Auditor's online sales records which do not include mail-ins or outpost sales not yet submitted. "We hope that during the next two weeks, all of the folks who missed out on renewing their tags early take advantage of the no-penalty tag sales," said Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith.
"Tags are just $16," said County Commissioner Debbie Lieberman. "We would like to thank Montgomery County's dog owners for their continued support."
Penalty free tags are on sale now through August 24th at the Animal Resource Center, County Auditor's office, online at www.mcohio.org/dogs , the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, SICSA and through Kettering's Animal Control Officer. Citizens may mail in tags as well with those postmarked during the amnesty period eligible for the reduced fee.
