The parade is the official kick-off for "Family Day in the Park" a day of fun activities, contests and games for people with disabilities. This day is an annual event coordinated by The Advocates for People with Disabilities. Last year's crowd was over 400 and this year, over 500 individuals with disabilities and their family and friends are expected to attend. The event will end at 4:00 p.m.
