Summary:
Montgomery County Water Services will be replacing and updating water main equipment at the intersection of Far Hills Avenue and Dorothy Lane. The work will begin at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 and is expected to be completed by 5 PM on Friday, June 12, 2009. Traffic southbound on Far Hills and westbound on Dorothy Lane will be reduced to one lane at various times including evenings and late night.

A small number of residential and business customers whose water service will be affected will be individually notified. Informational door hangers have been distributed to affected addresses. "We are making every attempt to minimize the disruption to the traffic in the area," stated Greg Merrill, Water Services Director. "This enhancement to the system is being made to safeguard against future problems at this very busy intersection. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the public as we take this preventative action."
