State Roadway Cleanup Flyer
Summary:
Keep Montgomery County Beautiful is teaming up with Keep Ohio Beautiful and Ohio Department of Transportation to host the 2009 State Roadway Cleanup, sponsored by CSX.
Former Ohio State University football great Archie Griffin will help kickoff the event on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at Dayton Dragons Fifth Third Field. The kickoff event will include motivating speakers; free food and drinks and a chance to win door prizes for cleanup volunteers, including items autographed by Archie Griffin. Immediately following the hour long kickoff event, volunteers will spread out to assigned parts of Montgomery County, picking up trash and items that can be recycled. The assigned areas will be freeway interchanges (on/off ramps) with close, secure parking (i.e. I-75 at Springboro Road – Park at Montgomery County Solid Waste District).
Trash bags, gloves, safety vests and water will be provided free after the kickoff event for you to take to your assigned cleanup location.
As the call goes out for renewed community service, isn't it about time for all of us to give back to our community? All it takes is a few hours of your time and a little effort. Anyone 12 years of age and older can volunteer.
