Summary:
Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith is extending the penalty-free sale of 2009 dog licenses.  The previous deadline to purchase your 2009 Montgomery County Dog License was January 31, 2009.  Now, you can buy your dog license through February 17, 2009.

Reasons to buy your 2009 Montgomery County Dog License:

1. The Montgomery County Commissioners and Auditor are grateful to those who have bought their 2009 Dog Licenses and want to make sure all other dog owners have the same opportunity.

2. The weather outside was frightful, but penalty-free dog licenses are delightful!!  The snow and sleet may have prevented you from buying your dog license.  Now you have more time!

3. It's a "Dog-o-nomic" Stimulus Package."  You may have been flooded with after holiday bills in January.  Now, responsible dog owners have more time to budget for a license.

4. Have a heart for Valentine's Day!  Make sure your dog is protected with a 2009 Montgomery County Dog License.

5. You love your dog!  If he or she is ever missing, a dog license provides a quick and accurate way of notifying you if someone else finds your pet.

6. It's the law!  Ohio law requires dogs over three months of age to be licensed.

Montgomery County Dog Licenses are $16 and can be purchased at the Auditor's Office, the Animal Resource Center and various outposts throughout the county.  Visit www.mcohio.org/dogs for more information.
